Orange Pecan Pie (Legacy Series)

A tribute to the past, when all of our Legacy coffees were from Colombia. This coffee is a blend from various farms and producers under the label “Altura” or "altitude" where only the highest elevation coffees are used. An interesting feature of this coffee is that it is dried on raised beds instead of the traditional Colombian method of patio drying. Raised bed drying is often a better choice at very high altitudes where temperatures are lower. Raised beds allow the high altitude winds to dry the coffee more slowly than higher heat patios, which prolongs fermentation and allows more richness and complexity to be developed in the beans. 

This coffee is all about the texture, balance and sweetness. It has a deep, rich, syrupy texture with heavy weight on the palette. It is beautifully balanced, making it very approachable to any coffee drinker. The pleasant mild acidity helps to enhance the very high sweetness.

To fully enhance the coffee’s body, try it in a french press.
