Familiar Adventures Espresso

This seasonal espresso is a blend of coffee from Nicaragua and Kenya. This is a post-roast blend, which means the two coffees were roasted separately and then mixed together after roasting. We do this because we want each of the coffees to provide a different type of taste to the blend. The Kenya coffee is roasted for sparkling acidity and fruit flavours, while the Nicaragua has a different roast profile designed to highlight sweetness and balance. Once blended together you get an espresso with sweet, familiar flavours and rich texture as a base with some delightful citrus and stonefruit notes. Different roasting profiles were used to achieve a taste that would not be possible if the coffee was all roasted together.
