Our first ever Panama coffee- everyone, meet Baru!

This coffee fomes to us from the Urriola family's speciality coffee farm. Los Urriola, in Boquete, Panama. Boquete is a valley on the Eastern side of the Volcan Baru (hence why we decided to name this coffee the way we did!) Baru, the tallest mountain in Panama- how cool is that? The valley floor is about 1000 meters above sea level and most of the coffee is grown on the slopes that surround the valley going up towards the volcano and into the central cordillera. Coffee is grown in some areas above 1650 meters.

    WE AREN’T CLAIMING TO BE EXPERTS, YET.

    We can’t sit here and preach that we’ve mastered the art of roasting, nor can we say that we know all there is to know about the coffee industry- the truth is, that type of knowledge is achieved over many years of hard work, dedication and constant love for coffee. We are however passionate, daring and eager to soak up every bit of coffee knowledge we can get our hands on, to produce a great, complex, memorable cup of coffee for YOU (and our team of course).

    So we may not be experts yet, but the truth is- this journey wouldn’t be nearly as fun if already were anyway.
