Introducing our new Tanzania Peaberry:
Another first for Mill Town Roasters, this is our first ever peaberry coffee!
Peaberry is a genetic variation of regular arabica coffee that doesn’t split the bean in half inside coffee cherry. Instead of two semi-circle shaped coffee beans, the cherry grows one single small round bean.
With just a single bean inside the cherry, the peaberry receives all the sugars and flavours normally split between two beans. This gives peaberry coffee sweeter, more concentrated flavours.
